Charity Events

In 2015 we held a family fun day event at the tearooms in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance. It was such a success and so many people donated and offered time and help it truly was a community fun day for a great cause

Private Functions
In 2017 we worked with Redcar and Cleveland Domestic violence and with a lot of donations from our wonderful customers and friends and family we managed to raise over £200.00 in our sealed tins for the children’s days out but most impressively we had so many gifts donated for adults and children which we carefully wrapped up in age groups and delivered just before Christmas
Vicki and Simon celebrated their special day in Saltburn. From the pier they arrived on the miniature railway train with their guests to our Tea Rooms for Pimms and plenty of cake and cream!

Throughout the year we like to choose a charity who we can help support for the year. We always like to support a small charity and help local people and local good causes.
In the winter of 2018 we worked with the homeless shelter with the Salvation Army and we collected toiletries, hats, gloves and blankets for the homeless. Overwhelming donations poured in and we were so proud of our customers and community for all there help and time and especially Lynne and Chris who go beyond and above anything we could dream off.

Here at the Valley gardens tearooms all our events are a success due to our wonderful customers. Thank you.

In August 2019 we had a spectacular event in honour of two wonderful brothers Cohen and Indie. What an amazing day we all had. The weather was beautiful, so many people came to support our special day we raised £2020.00!!! If it was not for the support of the community, great friends for their time, my staff, local businesses who donated items for the auction it would not have been as successful as it was. With the Mayor and Mayoress of Redcar, police volunteers with their patrol car for children to sit inside, our band, singers, tap dancers, stalls with gifts, vegan chocolate, football and face painting it was a spectacular day. Thank you to everyone xx
In October 2019 We were asked to help support the grand re opening of Santander in Redcar, this was a wonderful opportunity to meet the local residents of Redcar and we were honoured to be asked.
Thank you for our beautiful flowers x
Sadly two days before Princess Anne visited us for lunch our beloved rescue dog Cassie sadly had to be put to sleep she was diagnosed with cancer and was very poorly.

On this day my hubby called me while I was in work to say the vets have said there was nothing else they could do she had to be put to sleep, when Scott called me to say she was gone I just broke down crying it was terrible.

I had just hung up the phone I turned and there at the door were two Tibetan Monks. They were wonderful they sat down with me, held my hand whilst I was crying, we talked and they did a blessing for Cassie and told me she was happy and not in pain then they blessed me and the tearooms. It was such an honour to be in their company.

They had tea and cake and told me all about their journeys. What beautiful selfless gentle men.
It was a very difficult year 2020 and it was’t possible to do a fund raiser or a collection.

In November we were asked to do an afternoon Christmas festive tea box for the local dementia group helped run by Doreen, we made these gift boxes of delights and treats and then we delivered them COVID SAFELY around Guisborough, Redcar, Saltburn and Maske.
We met some wonderful people and it was all in aid for a good cause so we would not accept any payment and bless the group they gave us a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

Thank you so much x
