To come visit us at the Saltburn Valley Gardens why not walk from the Seafront along to the cat nab Car park, then head through the park and across the river or catch the Miniature Railway for a different experience. Then follow the pathway over the bridge where the river runs through, there is a sign post which will direct you to the tea rooms and Italian Gardens, we are 5 minutes from the end of the railway track.

If you are coming from the town then, take a stroll to the bandstand and then down the many various pleasant paths and tracks that wind through a mixture of formal gardens and woodland. In days gone by, the thick, wild woods provided an ideal haven for smuggled goods arriving off the Saltburn coast, though the woods were tamed – and formal gardens planted – during the redevelopment of Saltburn as a resort in Victorian times, why not have rest the amazing Italian Gardens, with a nice cup of tea from our Tea Rooms, then visit the Woodland Centre to learn about the local wild life, then maybe a walk to old Viaduct and along the Cleveland Way.

Miniature railway opens:
Weekends and Bank Holidays from Easter Sunday until the last weekend in September, Plus Mondays to Fridays during the Summer School Holidays.
Trains run from 1pm to 5pm.
